The 15-1/2 foot Snipe is an excellent family racing boat. It combines excellent stablity and comfort with a highly turnable rig. Sailed competitively worldwide, the Snipe is trailerable and easily handled.

I20 Scow Fleet

The 20 foot Inland 20 scow carries a crew of two. The boat carries a mainsail, a jib and a spinnaker. It is one of the most technical and exciting scows to sail. The class competes all over the Midwest.

Laser Fleet / Laser Radial

The Laser is the world's premier single-handed racing sailboat with over 200,000 boats sailing in 85 countries. The Radial shares the same hull, but substitutes a smaller sail for lighter and youth sailors.

Optimist Dinghy - Junior Racing

The International Optimist is a stable, easily sailed boat which has become the default vessel for junior racing. The GLYC offers weekend youth racing in the Optimist Dinghy in conjunction with the Green Lake Sailing School, with boats available for loan to those without their own Optimist.

Green Lake Pram - Senior Girls

 

The Green Lake Pram is a local variant of the Optimist Dinghy.  Senior Girls offers racing for women ages 17 to 77 in both the historical wooden Green Lake Pram and the more readily available Optimist Dinghy.

Portsmouth Racing

 

Casual racing in whatever (sailing) boat you have on hand.  The Portsmouth Yardstick handicap system allows boats of various classes to race against each other, with the winner declared on corrected time.
